I’m Laurie, and I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with my teenage son (God help me) and a passel of pets — I can’t resist a furry face that might need help.

Besides bratty animals who don’t do much more than destroy my house and the belongings that I love, two of my other loves are history — especially those little oddities of history — and the paranormal. After years of writing newspaper stories and marketing materials, I finally decided to jump in and try my hand at writing this “fiction” thing.
